Mindset Matters: Is an All-or-Nothing Approach Holding You Back?
When it comes to managing your weight or improving your health, mindset plays a powerful role. One important question to consider is: Is my mindset helping me move forward—or standing in my way?
One of the most common patterns I see in clients is perfectionism. It’s totally understandable—when we set a goal, it’s tempting to go all in and expect immediate results. But lasting success isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress.
Take exercise, for example. If you don’t currently have a routine, jumping straight into five gym sessions a week might feel like too much, too fast. Instead, what if you started with something more manageable—like two short walks a week? That small shift can build consistency and create momentum over time.
The truth is, small, sustainable changes lead to big results. Focus on setting goals that meet you where you are right now. Celebrate progress, however small, and trust that each step is moving you closer to your long-term goals.
